STL Tea Party One Year Anniversary

On this day, one year ago, a small group of liberty minded citizens met under the St. Louis Arch to protest big government and Obama's stimulus bill in particular. They called it a tea party - reminiscint of the Boston Tea Party. This was only one of many tea parties across the country. In the year since that cold day last year the Tea Party movement has grown exponentialy in more ways than one. It has grown in numbers and that growth in numbers has in some ways caused it to grow into more of your standard conservative establishment movement. This year they went so far as to say if you are a "Truther" than you are not welcome at the tea party. Which is silly in my opinion, but regardless of that I still believe they are a good group of people who are truly concerned about the direction of this country and would like us to return to Constitutional principles.

Anyway, that's my take. Here's a few videos from the rally today.
(Sorry about the wind noise, it was pretty windy down by the riverfront today.)

Here's links to some of the videos from last year's tea party.
